- Medical Law & Ethics (15%): Patient privacy (HIPAA), Patient’s Bill of Rights, and understanding the scope of practice.
- Safety & Infection Control (14%): OSHA regulations, biohazard handling, PPE usage, and nosocomial infection prevention.
- Medical Terminology (13%): Prefixes, suffixes, roots, and standard medical abbreviations used in hospitals.
- Anatomy & Physiology (12%): Basic function of circulatory, urinary, musculoskeletal, and respiratory systems.
- Pharmacology (10%): Identifying medication names, administration routes (oral, topical, etc.), and observing adverse reactions.
How to Graduate and Obtain Your Certification
- Complete the enrollment process with true and complete information.
- Coordinate your class schedule with your instructor.
- Complete the academic program (all modules, tasks, and internal evaluations).
- Request the certification evaluation from USMI when prepared.
- Take and pass the corresponding national exam (minimum 69% passing score).
- Receive your certification by mail or at USMI facilities.
